Academic journey
Meenu Sawhney came to writing through two other disciplines first. An M.Sc., an M.Phil. and a B.Ed. gave her the analytical habits and the research training; more than fifteen years as a Director of Intech Technocrats Ltd. gave her the leadership experience and the view of how people actually behave under pressure. The books came afterwards, and they carry both.
She has now published three. "Heal and Grow: Rewiring the Subconscious Mind by Advance Techniques" is a self-development book on the part the subconscious plays in personal growth, healing, confidence and change. "Nurturing Her Wings: A Perfect Tool for Parents to Raise the Girls" is written for parents raising daughters, and argues for confidence, values, emotional intelligence and resilience as the things worth preparing a child with. "Unlocking the Marriage Code: A Beautiful Journey of Love and Mutual Understanding" makes the case for communication, trust, empathy and mutual respect as the working parts of a marriage rather than its decoration.
The three share a purpose she states plainly: to make literature practical, relatable and transformative for everyday readers. The method is a blend of research, lived experience and educational insight, aimed at positive thinking, healthy relationships and continued learning — subjects that are easy to write badly and hard to write usefully.
Her plans extend past the page. She intends to continue with further books, and to carry the same material into seminars, workshops and community outreach on literacy, mental wellness, women's empowerment, parenting awareness and ethical living, alongside mentoring writers who are starting out.
