Academic journey
Peddapaidy Bhargav Reddy holds an MBA in Finance, and the six years since have been an argument with its boundaries. The degree gave him financial management, business analysis, investment concepts and the machinery of organisational performance. The work that followed kept demonstrating that none of it operates alone.
He began in business development at Naman Trading Company — client acquisition, relationship management, negotiation and sales, the part of a business where a plan meets a person who has not agreed to it yet. He moved to ICA Edu Skills and progressed from Academic Consultant to Centre Head, a route that covers marketing campaigns, lead generation, admissions, customer engagement, team management, operational performance and institutional collaboration, usually all in the same week. A subsequent role as Senior Marketing Manager added integrated and digital marketing, market research, branding and performance management.
He is now Co-Founder of Verticals Elevator Systems Pvt Ltd, where the responsibilities are business strategy, operations, marketing, business development, customer relationships, stakeholder coordination and growth. Founding a company has made the finance training more useful and less sufficient at the same time: financial discipline and resource allocation decide whether a young business survives, and they do not by themselves decide whether it is worth surviving.
That tension is what he now wants to study formally. His research interest is strategic financial management, entrepreneurship, digital transformation and the sustainable growth of small and medium enterprises — specifically how an SME can improve financial decision-making while using digital marketing, innovation, customer-centric strategy and effective leadership to grow. He has applied for doctoral study in business administration at Hawkins University, and describes the purpose as developing the capacity to investigate real business problems systematically rather than adding a qualification.
